Kiakoura Wine Company

                

      On Sunday, March 6, 2005 some members of our APT tour enjoyed an optional Whale Watch side trip.  Following the aquatic adventure, we were escorted to Kaikoura Wine Company for a wine tasting.  An interesting feature of Kaikoura Wine Company's wine cellars is how it was carved into the side of a mountain.

                           

      Those who tried the selection of wines offered by Kaikoura Wine Company spoke highly of their favorite samples.

              

      Kaikoura Wine Company's tasting center offers a spectacular view of the coast (see photos above and below).  On this day, craftsmen enjoy the fresh New Zealand mountain air as they create new handmade artwork.
