Geraldine, New Zealand

On Sunday, March 13, 2005 we stopped for about an hour in Geraldine; home of the world's largest jersey.

The coach pulled up in front of a quaint home overgrown with flowers and shrubs.

Nearby, an area church hosts Sunday services.

At 47 Talbot Street is the building shown at right.

We found that there was an antiques store inside the Murch & Dice building in Geraldine.  In the United States, we might be familiar with 10% off sales or 15% off sales, but 12.5%?

A fellow traveler quickly pointed out that 12.5% is the same as 1/8th, so the math is easy on a calculator.  Hmmm, it still just sounds like a weird sale to me.
