Delta & Delta Song Airlines
Although we really do not have pertinent images for either of these topics, they do both deserve a mention because these airlines did have an affect on our entire trip.
Brendan Worldwide Vacations was prepared to book a flight between Los Angeles and Orlando on our behalf, but since it was not a part of their standard tour package they were not willing to shop price for us. The quote we received from them was exorbitant so we booked our own flights. The end result was a non-stop to Los Angeles from Orlando on Delta's Song Airlines. The trip back had a stop in Atlanta and both legs were on Delta Airlines.
Delta's Song was new to me. Lynn was familiar with them, but I had never before flown with them. The crew was expectedly friendly. The plane was as comfortable as coach can be and they had an individual entertainment system in each seat offering selections of movies, MP3s, flight status and a variety of other features.
In sharp contrast, we were both very disappointed with Delta Airlines on our way back. The crews were not as friendly and there was no remarkable entertainment system. We've forgotten now whether it was on the first or second leg of our journey home, but Delta Airlines crew actually asked passengers to assist other passengers to find space for their bags and to help them close overhead compartments. Instead of making themselves available to assist passengers, they actually asked passengers already seated to assist the newcomers. That was the first time either Lynn or I have ever been told to do the crew's job for them.
Price is always a meaningful deciding factor when choosing an airline, but Delta Airlines gave us a good reason to choose against them in the future.
