Cromwell, New Zealand

Near Cromwell is a stop that travelers should make as they make their way to Queenstown.

On Tuesday, March 8, 2005, we made a planned restful stop at Mrs. Jones' Fruit Stall Mrs. Jones' Fruit Stall offers a lot more than just an opportunity to stretch the legs.  The enormous indoor market features piles of produce picked fresh from the surrounding orchards.  At right, Bob Stark, a fellow APT vacationer, hand picks from the world's most scrumptious fruits ripened to perfection and enriched with flavor.

Not only is there a vast selection of in-season delights, each and every candidate is picture perfect.

Additionally, Mrs. Jones' Fruit Stall features other taste tempting selections such as this bottle of "Squeeze Me Honey".

On the practical side, Mrs. Jones' Fruit Stall offers roadside public toilets and orchard tours for groups that make advance reservations.  And while the produce is brought indoors for shopping convenience, Mrs. Jones' Fruit Stall is surrounded on the outside by beautiful flowers and vegetation.

Mrs. Jones' Fruit Stall is a favorite as a formal tour stop with ample parking for coaches and family automobiles.  For more information, visit their Web site at: http://www.mrsjonesorchard.co.nz.
