As a parting tip for those who may book a stay at the Copthorne Hotel Queenstown Lakefront, there are two laundry rooms for registered guests. One is more centrally located and can be difficult to use during busier times. A second one, near room 1431, is harder to locate and not widely referenced by signs or personnel in the hotel unless you happen to have a room already near it.
