Gutters

December 1, 2003

As much as it rains in Florida, we found it interesting that homes are often built without rain gutters.  To add to the mystery, experts here say the same things they say elsewhere in the country about the benefits of gutters.  We've found that a lot of homeowners add them, but not nearly as many as we thought would do it.

CJS Aluminum Inc. came recommended to us by the builder.  They are an Orlando based company that we solicited a quote from for the gutters and the screen for our lanai.

The crew did all of the gutter installation within a few hours.  We had obtained quotes to have the entire house done, or just "critical" areas.  Critical areas are those where water would be trapped and pool in a heavy rain without a gutter system to reroute the water.

The big appeal of working with CJS Aluminum Inc. was not just a fair and reasonable price, but also the appeal of "seamless" gutters.  Seamless provides longer lasting functionality and better overall appearance.

In the above photographs, the gutter is formed for one of the sides of our home.  It is so long, that I was unable to get the entire gutter in one photograph.  The gutter is formed as it is pulled off a roll of aluminum located inside the truck.
